about

CHƠN wrote 68 Vet Dau in 2022, after a series of thoughts and experiences about life. About the pain that we have to endure, in the end it is still only us who face our pain.
According to the Vietnamese concept, 68 is a number that symbolizes fortune and luck. But in this single, 68 stands for the number of injuries. With this single, CHƠN decided to release it in English and Vietnamese versions – 68 Vet Dau and 68 Deep Wounds. Each version will have its own pain, and its own uniqueness.
This time CHƠN collaborated with RBID Production, with Nguyễn Thái Thanh Trí in charge of the instrumental and Tùng Oz in charge of the producer.
“68 deep wounds in my heart and mind
Play the game you force me to lose..”
“Daylights trapped in a prime
I don't know who I am..”
With Vietnamese folk music material mixed with a bit of modernity of the mix, 68 Deep Wounds will be an interesting musical experience, for those who want to go back inside and touch the wounds themselves. So in the end, who caused this pain? You, or the others? The answer will have to be found out by yourselves.

lyrics

And then I try to sing
A lullaby full of stings
Sol Do Mi hit the spot
But they cannot just bear with what I have lost
Dreamy nights start to grow
The weight that I have to hold
The shadow tries to help
But it cannot just bear with the pain I have had.

68 deep wounds in my heart and mind
Play the game you force me to lose
Watch the fun that this life has offered
68 timbres amplify the inner seas
Hear the greed waving around
Seize the love that this life has showed us.

Daylights trapped in a prime
I don't know who I am
Think about what I did
Is it right or wrong, or am I a sin?
The others try to leave
Me on a leafless tree
Though it’s a perfect crime
But it cannot just bear with the pain I have had.
